Amazing book for kids and teachers! Minority students can relate to the stories and difficult situations several of the main characters deal with, while kids and teachers of all races learn from a student's point of view what it's like to feel different in a school where everyone else seems very much the same. My first grade students loved the book and our conversation about seeing the world from our friends' points of view was great!
